FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT

Sometimes the wheel alignment monitoring is part of standard automobile maintenance that consists of adjusting the angle of the wheel in terms of organized automobile manufacturers. The purpose of this adjustment is to reduce tire wear and to ensure that the vehicle is moving and real (not "pull" on the side). In your wheel alignment is the key, adjust the angle of the wheels so they are perpendicular to the ground and parallel to each other. The purpose of the adjustment is a maximum life of the vehicle tire and right and true when driving along straight and level. Some ways you can do to make your system more stable steering wheel while driving
1.CHECK TIRE BEFORE FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
Check the tire pressure for installation and suitability.
Cold tire pressure:
Use a dial indicator, check the tire runout.
Tire runout:1.4 mm (0.055-in.) Or more
2.MEASURE VEHICLE HEIGHT  BEFORE FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT

Heavy vehicles:
Tire Size             AB                                CD

165/80R13           45.1 + / - 15 mm            42.5 + / - 15 mm

(1.78 + / - 12:59 in.)       (1.67 + / - 12:59 in.)

185/70R14           45.1 + / - 15 mm                42.3 + / - 15 mm
185/65R15           (1.67 + / - 12:59 in.)         (1.78 + / - 12:59 in.)
Point of measurement:
A: Ground clearance of front wheel center
B:
Ground clearance of the bolt down the middle of the front suspension arm set

C: Ground clearance of rear wheel center
D:
Ground clearance of the bolt side of the middle set of lower control arm front

CAUTION:* Prior to the wheel alignment, check the height of the vehicle.* Measure the height of vehicles when the vehicle is empty (with a full gas tank, spare tire and equipment keys.

INSTRUCTIONS:The vehicle to swing up and down at the corners to stabilize the suspension before check vehicle height.
3.TOE-IN EXAMINATION  BEFORE FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT

Toe-in:
A+ B                                                 C-D
0 ° + / - 0 ° 12                                  '0 + / - 2.0 mm
(0 ° + / - 0.2 °)                                (0 + / - 0.08 in.)
INSTRUCTIONS:Just measure the C-D when A + B can not be measured.
If the toe-in is not included in the specification, set in both rack and.
4.SETTING TOE-IN  BEFORE FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
# Remove the clips steering rack boot.

# Loosen lock nut tie rod end.
# Turn to the right and left rack end with the same amount to adjust the toe-in.
INSTRUCTIONS:Try doing toe-in adjustments to the middle of the specification.
# Verify that the rack end left and right alike.
# Tighten the tie rod end lock nut to specification moment.
Occasion:47 N * m {480 kgf * cm, 35 ft lbf .*}
CAUTION:Adjust the angle tie rod end lock nut after tightening the tie rod end.
5.INSPECTION WHEEL ANGLE  BEFORE FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT
Turn the steering wheel fully to the left and right, and measure the angle of rotation.

Wheel turn angle:Mechanical Steering           Wheels Within                  Wheels of Foreign section

(Reference)

Manual steering                 45 ° 49 '+ / - 2 °               (39.20 ° + / - 2 °)

(45.82 ° + / - 2 °)             (39.20 ° + / - 2 °)

Power steering
                                         43 ° 42 '+ / - 2 °)              37 ° 40' + / - 2 °

(43.70 ° + / - 2 °)             (37.67 ° + / - 2 °)

When the inner wheel angle right and left are not in accordance with the specifications, check the length of the right and left rack end.

6.CHECK camber, caster and SLOPE OF STEERING AXIS
BEFORE FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT

# Put the front wheel in the middle of the alignment tester.
# Remove the wheel cap.# Set camber, caster, steering axis inclination gauge at the center of the axle hub.# Check the camber, caster and steering axis inclination.
Camber, caster and steering axis inclination.:
Camber                       Caster                             Steering Axis Tilt.

-0 ° 30 '+ / - 45'           4 ° 34 '+ / - 1 °                12 ° 25' + / - 1 °

(-0.5 ° + / - 0.75 °)      (4:57 ° + / - 1 °)               (12:42 ° + / - 1 °)
CAUTION:* Do check when the vehicle is empty (with a full gas tank, spare tire and equipment keys).* Tolerance of differences between right and left wheels is 30 '(0.5 °) or less.
INSTRUCTIONS:There is no camber, caster or steering axis inclination adjustment mechanism.
If the measured value does not match the specification range, check the suspension parts and replace if necessary.
# Remove the camber, caster, steering axis inclination gauge and attachments.
# Replace the wheel cap.
