How do I set the brake pedal Toyota Avanza?

1. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER NO. 1 SUB-ASSEMBLY

a.Remove the 2 nuts.
b.Remove the 2 clips.
c.Remove the claw and take cover under instrument panel.

2. CHECK THE BRAKE PEDAL AND Set

a.Check the brake pedal height.

Brake pedal height from floor:150.9 mm (15.090 cm.)
If the pedal height is incorrect, set the pedal it.
b.Set the brake pedal height.
i.Remove the connector from the brake light switch.
ii.Turn the brake light switch in a clockwise direction, and off the brake light switch.
iii.Loosen the lock nut clevis.
iv.Adjust the pedal height by turning the pedal push rod.

Brake pedal height from floor:150.9 mm (15.090 cm.)

v.Tighten the lock nut clevis.

Moments:26 N * m {265 kgf * cm, 19 ft. * Lbf}

vi.Insert the brake light switch into the lockout until the pads touch the brake light switch.

CAUTION:Do not be so pressing the brake pedal.

vii.Turn the brake light switch 90 ° clockwise to attach it.

viii.Check the brake light switch clearance.

Brake light switch clearance:0.2 to 2.8 mm (0.008 to 2.794 mm.)
ix.Connect the connector to the brake light switch.
c.Check the brake pedal free play.

i.Turn off the machine and press down the brake pedal several times until there is nothing left in the vacuum booster.
ii.Hit the pedal until it begins to feel no resistance. Measure the distance as shown.

Pedal free play:0.5 to 2.0 mm (0.020 to 0.007 mm.)
When the brake pedal free play is not within specifications, check the brake light switch gap.

d.Check the brake pedal reserve distance.

i.Release the parking brake lever. With state of the engine life, injaklah pedal and measure the distance up as shown.

Pedal reserve distance from the floor:Approximately 106 mm (4.2 ins.) At 294 N (30 kgf, 66.1 lbf)
