HOW TO CHECKING THE FUEL PUMP TOYOTA AVANZA

1.EMPTY FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE

2.DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

3.DRAIN FUEL

a.Remove the drain bolt and drain the fuel into the container.

b.Clean the drain bolt and replace with new gasket.

Moments:6.5 N * m {66 kgf * cm, 58 ins. * Lbf}

4.OFF THE PROPELLER SHAFT CENTER BEARING ASSEMBLY

5.REMOVE FUEL SEQUENTIALLY

a.Loosen the hose clamp, then remove the fuel hose from the fuel delivery hose.

6.REMOVE the vacuum PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY FUEL

a.Remove the claw and push down the retainer as shown.

b.Pull the suction pipe of fuel (fuel pipe connector) to the outside of the main pipeline fuel.

CAUTION: 

@.Off a variety of dirt and foreign materials from the fuel pipe connector.

@.Are not allowed to scratch or foreign object on a part time since the release of the fuel pipe connector has the O-ring to tighten the fuel main pipe.

@.Perform this work by hand. Do not use other tools.

@.Do not bend, twist or rotate the nylon tube.

@.Protect the part that is released by covering it with vinyl bag after removing the fuel pipe.

@.Usually some of the pressure is still stored in the fuel line, use a cloth or cotton waste (laps) to prevent fuel spray when removing the fuel lines.

@.If the fuel pipe connector and the fuel pipe jam, pinch the fuel main pipe and the push and pull the fuel pipe connector to release him.

7.TO REMOVE THE FUEL TANK FILLER PIPE SEQUENTIALLY

a.Loosen the hose clamp bolts, then remove the fuel tank filler pipe from the fuel hose.

8.REMOVE FUEL TANK SEQUENTIALLY Breather

a.Loosen the hose clamp, then remove the breathing tube from the fuel tank fuel inlet pipe.

9.REMOVE FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY

a.Unplug the fuel pump.

b.Prop the fuel tank using the transmission jack.

c.Remove the four bolts.

d.Operate the transmission jack, then remove the fuel tank of the vehicle.

10.REMOVE FUEL PIPE SUB-sucking-ASSEMBLY

a.Separate the fuel suction pipe from the clamp.

b.Retainer clamp to release the key as shown, then push the suction tube (fuel pipe connectors) out the fuel pump pipe.

CAUTION:

 @.Off a variety of dirt and foreign materials from the fuel pipe connector.

@.Are not allowed to scratch or foreign material in the part when released as the fuel pipe connector which has an O-ring that seals the fuel pump pipe.

11.OFF WITH MOTOR FUEL PUMP AND BRACKET ASSEMBLY

a.Unplug the fuel pump.

b.Separate 1 clamp from the fuel tank, then remove the wire harness.

c.8 Remove the nut, then remove the fuel pump bracket.

d.Remove the fuel pump with the motor and bracket from the fuel tank.

CAUTION:

 @.Do not damage the fuel pump filter.

@.Make sure that the fuel sender gauge arm is not bent.

 e.Remove the gasket from the motor and fuel pump bracket

12.HOW TO REMOVE FUEL GAUGE SENDER ASSEMBLY

 
a.Separate the two claw fitting, then remove the fuel sender gauge while pushing down.

 
13.REMOVE FUEL SUPPORT NO suction. 2

 
a.Use a tape wrapped around the tip screwdriver, remove the 3 claw fitting. Then release the fuel suction support.

 
CAUTION:
Do not damage the fuel suction hose support and fuel.

 
14.REMOVE FUEL PUMP RUBBER BEARING

 
15.REMOVE FUEL PUMP AND FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY

 
a.Remove the connector from the fuel pump.

b.Remove the fuel pump to fuel filter pipe bari.

c.Grommet and spacer off the fuel pump fuel from the fuel pump.

 
16.REMOVE FUEL PUMP FILTER

 
a.Use a screwdriver, remove the clip. Then filter off the fuel pump of fuel pump.

17.CHECK THE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY

 
a.Check the resistance of the fuel pump.

 
i.Use an ohmmeter, measure resistance between terminal 1 and terminal 2.

 
Custody standards:
0.2 to 3.0 Ω at 20 ° C (68 ° F)

 
If the result is not in accordance with the specification, replace the fuel pump.

 
b.Check the fuel pump working.

 
i.Connect the battery positive (+) cable to terminal 1 of connector, and the negative cable (-) cable to terminal 2. Check that the fuel pump working.

 
If the pump does not work, replace the fuel pump.

 
CAUTION:

 
@.This test should be carried out within 10 seconds of connecting the battery to prevent the coil burnt.

 
@.Keep the fuel pump as far as possible from the battery.

 
@.Turn the voltage to the on and off in addition to the battery, do not beside the fuel pump.

18.FUEL PUMP FILTER PAIRS

 
a.Replace the filter on the fuel pump fuel pump with a new clip.

 
19.POST FUEL PUMP AND FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY

 
a.Replace the fuel pump spacer on the fuel pump.

 
b.Give a thin layer of gasoline on a new fuel grommet, and attach it to the fuel pump.

 
c.Give another thin layer of gasoline on fuel grommet, and plug the fuel pump with a filter on the fuel pipe.

 
d.Connect the connector to the fuel pump.
