SYSTEM SFI = output circuit VC
EXPLANATION
ECM is still generating power from the +5 V voltage is supplied to the batteryterminal B + (BATT) to operate the microprocessor. ECM also provides power tothe sensors via output circuit VC.
At the time of VC linked circuit cut (short), a microprocessor in the ECM andsensors are supplied with power via the VC circuit was de-activated due to powerno longer supplied from the circuit VC. In this condition, the system does not runand the MIL is not lit even if the system malfunctions.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Under normal conditions, the MIL light up a few seconds when the ignition switchturned to ON the first time. MIL then goes off when the machine is turned on.
