A. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT
a.Loosen the fixing bolts A and B.
b.Loosen the bolts C, then release the V-ribbed belt.
B.Check FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT
Visually check the belt of excessive wear, the cord of her stringy and others. If there are any defects are found, replace the belt.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Rift belt on the side of the ribs are still acceptable. If the belt has a piece missingfrom the ribs, it should be replaced.
C. POST FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT
Temporarily plug the V-ribbed belt pulley at each
D. Set FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT
Turn the adjusting screw C and set the voltage V-belt.
Tighten the fixing bolts A and B.

19 N * m {194 kgf * cm, 14 ft. * Lbf} for A
44 N * m {449 kgf * cm, 33 ft. * Lbf} to bolt B
F. CHECK THE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT
Check the belt deflection by pushing the belt at the point indicated by the arrowsin the figure.
deflection:
item condition specification
new belt 6.5 to 7.5 mm (0.26 to 7.62 mm.)
Belt used 11.5 to 14.5 mm (0.45 to 14.48 mm.)
voltage:
item condition specification
new belt 834 to 932 N (85 to 95 kgf, 187 up to 94.80 kg)
Belt used 441 to 539 N (45 to 99 kgf, 55 to 54.88 kg)
If the belt deflection is not within specifications, adjust the belt.
INSTRUCTIONS:
.Check the V belt deflection on the specification.
.When installing a new belt, set the voltage to a value specification.
.When inspecting a used belt is more than 5 minutes, put the used beltspecification.
.When replacing the belt used more than 5 minutes, set the deflection and the voltage to the specifications of the belt was used.
.Voltage and V-ribbed deflection should be checked after 2 turns during enginecranking.
.When using a belt tension gauge, ensure the accuracy of measuring instrumentsin place .with a master gauge first.
