Gasoline

Gasoline
Many types of fuels and lubricants used in vehicles.
Some of them contain chemicals that are toxic and flammable and must be handledwith care.
Be careful if the fuel or lubricant, a type that is not suitable for use by accident, can cause serious damage to the part-a part that works.
It is important to know the different types of fuels and lubricants.

FUEL

The fuel used by today's vehicles contain gasoline and diesel (diesel) and methanol, LPG and other fuels.
Here we discuss two types of fuels: gasoline and diesel.

NOTES:
Change of fuel over time.

GASOLINE

Gasoline is a mixture of hydrocarbons produced from refining crude oil.
Gasoline is very volatile, and generate high heat.
And, gasoline also meets the necessary conditions for vehicle fuel:
.Does not contain hazardous materials.
.Anti ngelitik (anti-knocking).
.The price is quite low.

For these reasons, the gasoline used as fuel for gasoline engines.

WARNING:
Gasoline is very volatile, and transformed into a flammable gas when in contact with air.
Because gasoline burns easily with just a little spark and become very dangerous,so be careful when handling.

THE OCTANE NUMBER

Octane number is one of the gauges to show the characteristics of gasoline and fuelrepresent the characteristics of anti ngelitik (knocking).
Gasoline with higher octane number has a small chance to cause the engine ngelitikcompared with a lower octane gasoline framed.

To raise the octane number, some types of gasoline containing lead, while othersunleaded.
Because some machines are designed to use gasoline that contains lead, while others without a lead, then it must use the right type of gasoline.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Ngelitik (knocking) is generated by burning gasoline that is not normal in the cylinder. The sound is caused by the repetitive beats on the cylinder wall, which reduces engine power output.

DIESEL FUEL

Diesel fuel (sometimes called "light oil") is a mixture of hydrocarbons are distilledafter gasoline and kerosene refined from crude oil at a temperature between 150 to 370 º C (302 to 698 º F). Diesel fuel is mainly used to run diesel engines-meisn.

CAUTION:

Unlike gasoline, diesel fuel also serves as a lubricant.
Do not swap the fuel, because when petrol put in diesel engines, incidentally, will be able to damage the injection pump and nozzle.

Diesel fuel is classified into various types, mainly depending on the level of liquidity, because liquidity levels will decline, when the temperature is low. The type usedshall be in accordance with (temperature) environments.

CETANE

Cetane number is the capacity of the combustion of diesel fuel.
The higher the number the better the ability to burn and the least occurred ngelitikengine (knocking).
The minimum cetane number of fuels that can be used in high-speed diesel passenger cars are usually 40-50.

NOTES:
Stroke occurs when the diesel engine be long before the time of combustion(ignition delay), as if the fuel cetane framed in temperature or low engine speeds. If the interval before ignition, the greater the fuel in the cylinder is left to burn orexplode, causing the pressure to rise suddenly. This corresponds to a whistle.
