The engine is a part that produces power for the vehicle.

When the machine is damaged, then the vehicle will stop working.

Therefore, the maintenance required on the machine.

Engine Oil
The importance of engine oil replacement
Engine oil deteriorates due to the use, even though not used.
Engine oil becomes dirty because of dirt and soot in the engine, and turn black.

If the engine oil is not replaced
• The machine is broken, and become more difficult to start up.
• Constantly adding oil without melaukan replacement can lead to decreasedperformance of the oil as shown in the graph on the left.

What is the engine oil?
Engine oil has the following roles.:

Engine Oil
The reason why the amount of engine oil decreases
Engine oil decreases little by little under normal conditions, when a small amount ofoil burned with the fuel after the lubricity. (oil consumption)

Replacement intervals
• Change oil according to the distance that has been taken or the time because it is difficult to assess the deterioration of oil with only a way to see it.


   Replacement (Corolla in general countries):
     Gasoline engines:
         every 10.000 km (6.000 miles) or 1 year
     Diesel engines:
         every 5.000 km (3.000 miles) or 6 months

Types of engine oil
Engine oil is classified based on the API according to the quality of performance and value with SAE viscosity suitable circuitry. See the Owners Manual for proper use.

Engine Oil filter
What is the engine oil filter?
This is the part that dispose of the carbon, soot and metal particles in engine oil.

If the engine oil filter is not replaced
When the filter gets clogged, the oil can not be mnegalir through a sieve. Then thevalve liberator (relief valve) opens and sends dirty oil into the engine.

Replacement intervals
• Replace engine oil filter according to the distance that has been taken or theperiod of time because it is not possible to assess the level of ugliness with onlylooking at it.

Replacement (the Corolla for general states):
